Content The 2016 Winter Workshop on First-Principles Computational Materials Physics and quantum transport, organized by the New Quantum materials & Transport thematic group in NCTS and Department of Physics, National Taiwan University, will be held on January 18-20, 2016. The aim of this workshop is to promote interactions and collaborations among local physicists who employ first-principles electronic structure calculations in their research and those who are interested in transport phenomena. The aim of this workshop is to provide a channel for fruitful discussions and an opportunity to foster new collaborative research projects. The workshop also encourage graduate students and postdoctors to present their research achievement. Twenty or thirty-minute reports by faculty members and fifteen-minute talks by postdoctors or PhD students will be scheduled in the program. Graduate students towards Master’s degree are encouraged to present their research in poster section.
