Category Quantum computing and interdisciplinary applications
Event Duration 2019-01-14 - 2018-01-18
Conference Name 2019 The ICAM-NCTS Annual Meeting and Frontiers of Condensed Matter Workshop
Content This joint activity takes place in National Center for Theoretical Sciences NCTS, HsinChu, Taiwan. It combines the ICAM (Institute for Complex Adaptive Matter) general annual meeting (Jan. 14-16, 2019) and the NCTS annual meeting (Jan. 16-18, 2019) in the form of the ICAM-NCTS Frontiers of Condensed Matter Workshop.  The event is co-hosted by the NCTS, the Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica and ICAM.

The ICAM annual meeting follows its long tradition by in-depth discussions on the latest development of quantum matter, soft matter and biological systems.  The theme of the ICAM/NCTS workshop is to explore the interplay of emergence and entanglement in quantum materials, bringing together the latest theoretical and experimental developments of the recent past, with a low density of talks and extensive time for in-depth discussion.

Organizers:

Chung-Hou Chung (National Center for Theoretical Sciences)

Piers Coleman (Rutgers University)

Ting-Kuo Lee (Academia Sinica)

Rajiv Singh (UC Davis), the ICAM Co-directors.
