Conference Name | Intensity Frontier in Particle Physics: Flavor, CP Violation and Dark Physics |
Content | Complementary to efforts at the energy frontier, exploration of particle physics is also being conducted at low energies using intense particle beams and highly sensitive detectors. By searching for and measuring rare processes and CP-violating observables at higher precision, we are closing in on understanding the Standard Model better and perhaps are going to see evidence of new physics, thereby revealing a deeper structure of Nature. In view of the advent of such high precision data, the particle physics group at National Taiwan University, with supports from NTU and National Center for Theoretical Sciences, is organizing an NCTS-NTU joint workshop on October 3 to 6, 2019. The purpose is to bring together some domestic experts and those from abroad to discuss recent developments in flavor physics, including heavy quark systems and neutrino phenomenology, CP violation, new gauge interactions, and dark matter studies. |
