Conference Name NCTS 2018 Workshop on Complex Fluids
Content The flow of complex fluids such as blood, bio-films, surfactants, nanoparticle suspensions, and polymer solutions depends on how fluid internal microstructure respond to forces and stresses. The interplay between inter-particle interactions, microstructure formation, and dynamic response leads to interesting phenomena such as shear-induced viscosity thinning and thickening, flocking and self-organization, and non-Fickian diffusion. This workshop aim to highlight novel theoretical and experimental tools to probe and model non-equilibrium （driven and active） systems under pressure gradients and other external manipulations.
