Conference Name | Quantum squeezing in EIT-based system |
Content | Squeezed state is a non-classical state which has lower quantum variance in one of quadrature directions than that of vacuum state, and it has great potentials in continuous-variable quantum information processing. On the other hand, electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) medium possesses highly coherent properties among light filed and atomic levels, providing a good ingredient for quantum memory device. With the reason, the interactions between squeezed light and EIT-based system become important topics for study quantum state mapping via the coherent control processes. In addition to the studies above, the quantum squeezing generation from light-matter interactions has been discussed in coherent population trapping (CPT) medium. With the strong nonlinearity in CPT system, the quadrature variances of fields can be greatly reduced to 〜10dB under accessible physical conditions. The results provide a simple way to generate strong squeezed light sources from atomic ensemble with tunable physical parameters, giving a controllable quantum information carriers based on atomic coherent system.
