Conference Name | 2020 TGWG Mini-Workshop on Compact Star Physics with Data Analysis of Gravitational Waves |
Content | TGWG is going to hold a mini-workshop on compact star physics with data analysis of gravitational waves (GWs) in NTNU on August 10-11, 2020. This mini-workshop will introduce both the theory and numerical calculations on basics of the compact star physics, particularly on the discussions of Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff (TOV) equation, tidal Love number and parameter estimation (PE) of the binary compact star system from GW data through PyCBC. We also have a lecture on quasi-normal modes of compact star. This mini-workshop is also aiming for beginners with a hand-on session. Please bring your laptops with the installation of Mathematica and Python as possible as you can. Organizers Chian-Shu Chen (Tamkang University) Feng-Li Lin (National Taiwan Normal University) Guo-Chin Liu (Tamkang University) Ling-Wei Luo (Academia Sinica) Alessandro Parisi (Tamkang University) Hong Zhang (National Taiwan Normal University) |
