Abstract:
We study the leading two-loop corrections to the Higgs boson decay into two photons in the Inert Doublet Model (IDM), which contains a scalar dark matter candidate. The IDM can be probed indirectly through precision measurements of the Higgs di-photon decay rate and the Higgs self-coupling. Using the Higgs low-energy theorem, we compute for the first time the leading new-physics two-loop contributions to the di-photon decay rate. Based on these results, we present state-of-the-art theoretical predictions for both observables and evaluate the prospects for testing the IDM at future colliders such as the HL-LHC.
