Relative entropy defines a natural distance measure on space of reduced density matrices in quantum field theory. In this talk, I will first explain various ways to compute relative entropy, especially in conformal field theory, which I have been developing. I will then talk about applications of the results to various topics, including quantum entanglement, chaos, and holography.
