Abstract :
Collapsars are the death of fast rotating massive stars that may power the explosion of long gamma-ray bursts and certain subclass of supernovae. They have also been suggested as the candidate sites of producing high-energy neutrinos detected by IceCube as well as sources of heavy element production via the rapid neutron capture process (r-process). In this talk, I will discuss a potentially interesting effect due to the annihilation of the high energy neutrinos produced in collapsar jets with the low energy antineutrinos from the decay of r-process nuclei. The effect may leave a unique signature in the high energy neutrino spectrum as well as different prediction of flavor ratio that may be tested with future high-energy neutrino observatories.
