Abstract:
General relativity predicts the existence of black hole that nothing, not even light, can escape. However quantum mechanics predicts the possibility of emission of Hawking radiation. The properties of Hawking radiation has led to several puzzles concerning the quantum information aspects of black hole. In this talk, I will discuss the entanglement entropy of the Hawking radiation and the retrivial of information, and propose a new model of black hole where the unitary evolution of the black hole quantum mechanics is manifestly maintained throughout. Possible connection with wormholes and island will be highlighted.
